Good times
We made the trip to "Bass Pro Shop" on Saturday, it is a outdoors mans paradise. Three out of four of us had a awesome time, the odd "woman" out enjoyed the first hour and tolerated the rest of the outing. They had a collectible gun section we walked through, the most expensive gun we could find was $87 thousand dollars. We didn't know it was wear a costume and trick or treat day at the Pro shop so Karson and Kayden missed out on the candy and the costume parade. They did get to take part in the hunting games that were free for the day. We also got to see them feed the fish, which included a 40 pound cat fish. They were all in a huge tank, they first threw in some pellets then they dropped in live fish. It was the most inhumane thing I've seen. I expected them to drop in minnows but they were fish about the size Karson would catch off the dock at Echo lake. The poor little guys would swim for their lives only to be swallowed whole by their enemies. I'm sure many small child had nightmares that night seeing Nemo eaten alive. Now that we are in our house we've had local exterminators and security guys stopping by trying to get us to sign up for their services. The security guys wanted to install a system for free and wave the first 3 months payments just to put their sign on our lawn (or what will be our lawn). Lucky for us we have no credit down here so that was a no go. I wasn't sure if one really needs to spray for bugs down here until Monte confessed to killing a scorpion the other day. It was on our stairs, I didn't think they could climb. The best part is he got tissue and squished it with his fingers. Kayden and Karson looked at him like he'd lost his mind. He claimed it was just a little guy, Karson was quick to inform him those are the most dangerous because they can't control the amount of poison they inject. Hopefully there will be no more scorpion killing with ones fingers. Yesterday Karson and Kayden found the tail of a scorpion on the stairs, Monte is sure it is the same one he killed, he claims they don't drop their tails. We were carving pumpkins in the garage tonight, our only neighbor stopped by so I asked him what he did for bugs. He usually sprays himself, he went and got his black light flash light and walked around our back yard hoping to find scorpions, luckily there were non to be found. We feel a little out of our element here but if we happen to get a freak snowstorm we are the people to call. It is kind of hard to believe Halloween is so close, the warm weather really has me seasonally confused. We're hoping to get atleast 3 trick or treaters, they would be our only neighbors 3 children. Rumor has it we may have more neighbors moving in this week. Karson and Kayden got a package from their granny today, smarties, eatmores and macintosh candy. Thanks granny they were thrilled. Karson plans to take the smarties to school and show people what "smarties" are.
