Monte's niece Jayla got married this weekend so we made the trip north to Monte's old stomping grounds. We thought it would be fun to stay at the Wigwam motel in Holbrook. We've driven by it many times but never had a need to stay there because Monte's family was so close. We asked the owner if this was the motel Oprah stayed at while filming her trip across the USA, she told us with great excitement that it was and they were even on her show. If you have seen the Disney movie "Cars" they based parts of the movie from this area and have the wigwam motel in the movie. The wigwam wasn't anything fancy but something you just have to do. The rooms were small and you had to stand on a slight tilt in the shower. It was nice to spend time with Monte's family and see northern Arizona again. The boys are out of school for fall break this week so Kayden stayed up in Woodruff with his cousins. Karson has football practice Monday and Tuesday with a game on Wednesday. We are looking forward to Friday when we move into our home, it has been a looooong six weeks. We are ready to get settled and begin this new journey. The AZ time share will be open and ready for visitors really soon, we can't wait for our first guests. We hope all our family and friends have a Happy Thanksgiving, we are thankful for all the memories and good times we've had and look forward to many more.
