It was a weekend of partying for us. My cousin is having her first baby in February her sisters threw her a baby shower that I was able to attend Saturday morning. Then Saturday night the 3 girls threw their parents a surprise 50th birthday party. They did such a cute job, it was fun to meet new people and spend time with family. While we were at the party Karson and Kayden decided to venture up the San Tan freeway to the polar ice skating rink. We let Karson drive us up their Friday night so he had some experience on the freeway. They had a great evening skating, Karson was happy to have his skates, Kayden did have to rent because his feet out grew his last pair. The lesson he learned was ask for hockey skates, if not they will give you figure skating skates. "Toe Pick" took on a new meaning for him as he slid across the ice on his stomach. On Sunday we attended church at our new time, 1:00pm. It was nice to sleep in and not rush Sunday morning. It took almost the full sacrament meeting to pass the sacrament. They ran out of water even with an extra pitcher on the table. There was 758 people in attendance, we did have 3 babies blessed but the ward is still huge on its own. It was a neat experience. One of the priests shared his testimony, they were concerned they were going to run out of bread, a little harder problem to fix then water. He said when the bread had been passed they had a lot left over. It reminded me of the loaves and fishes in the bible. We are settling into the new ward, Monte has been called as the scout committee chair and I've been called as assistant secretary in the Relief Society. My calling is a little over whelming because I have no clue how they keep track of everyone coming, going, having babies. It should be a great way to get to know people better.

I bet your boys wowed them at the skating rink. I remember going to a place like that in Provo and being one of two people in the whole place who could skate backwards. Strangers told me I should try for the olympics. Funny, eh? I'm glad you and Monte got callings. That will help you get integrated. Your ward sounds like a stake though.
