17 wonderful years

Our baby Kayden Lee has done a lot of growing and changing over the last 17 years...most of it has been memorable.(driving the snow machine through the barbwire fence is one memory I could do without) He has always been an easy going delightful boy. He was such a mellow baby, I spent most of my time making sure his not so calm brother was being gently with him. Kayden has always been self entertaining, playing quietly in his room or entertaining himself with a single toy...never getting in a hurry, shocking he's still not. Not sure where the past 17 years have gone. Sorry this got a little out of control...again.

His big brother was so exited to see him...Karson had to be taken out of the room so his other brothers could have a turn holding him. In true Karson fashion he tried to be gentle but it is so hard when you have as much energy as twenty 16 month old toddlers.
Four handsome boys!!!!
Kayden wasn't in a hurry to crawl...he is 7 months here and content to scoot around on that lovely 1970's or 60's or 50's carpet.
Our blue eyed "precious moment"
One of the two pictures I have of Kayden sucking his fingers. He started sucking his fingers when he is 3 or 4 months old and kept it up until about 4. HALLOWEEN
Winter fun on the frozen lakes at ChristmasPlaying together...why is it my kids never seemed to wear clothes until they started school where clothing isn't optional? Notice it is the dead of winter and their are running around in their underwear. In all the pictures I looked through can you believe there are no pictures of Kayden and his best buddy "Piglet". Kayden and piglet went everywhere together, even church one time (it was one of those mornings) Piglet did get lost at church but was found two days later, that was too close for comfort. Kayden treated piglet like he was a living breathing friend, he asked him questions, seat belted him in when we were going somewhere and watched TV together. Where Kayden was Piglet was sure to be close by. Today Piglet is safely stored in a nice box, he is a little less pink then he used to be, a little dirtier, has been stitched at the neck and arm, and has a slight burn mark on one of his arms from the curling iron, but he was loved for many many years.

Kayden was an awesome "napper" he would often fall asleep as I was fixing lunch. He even crashed as we harvested the carrots from the garden.

This is his first time on Santa's knee...not counting the time when he was 2 months old. Kayden was "not a fan" of dressed up people. Disney land would of been a nightmare for him. The ward Christmas parties when santa visited where more traumatizing then fun. He would take off running the other direction when Santa entered the room. When Kayden was in kindergarten (six at the time) santa visited his class and due to peer pressure he was able to find some deep down bravery and sit on his knee.
Is this "turtlie" enough for the turtle club. Love this costume it got a lot of use.
Entries for the school pumpkin painting contest.
1st time snowboarding
Goofing around with cousins Tylissa and Keston
Bringing the heat!!!

Jr. High doubles badminton...champs

MVP at Calgary Volley Dome tournament

Going for 2Cardston Grade 7 Boys high jump champ and new school record, which he still holds. The height of the bar is the height he jumped.
Triple jump...winner of course. Can anyone tell which teacher is recording the distance of their jumps?Javelin....southern Alberta Summer Games champ!
Grade 8 high jump.

This makes me laugh...Kayden was going for the grade 8 high jump record...he's already won first. It was incredibly wet and cold, thus the ground was super slippery even with cleats. I look over to see a girl using a stick and digging the dirt and sod out of his cleats, girls are such suckers in Jr. High.
Heading for the finish line on the relay team.
I believe this is called "roast beef"

Kayden is an awesome slalom skier...he got up the first time he tried.

Good friends!!!! (not necessarily the brightest but still good friends)

Kayden and Kiara...no comment!!!BFF...Jaden hanging with Kayden at Echo lake...someone even thought they were twins when they were cute little guys, they are still cute but, definately not little anymore.

We Love our Handsome Guy!!!
