Fun with Friends

We were so lucky to have friends come and see us this past week. Lorin and Wendy Low came for a visit and Max came along for entertainment. We did some sight seeing, lots of visiting and quading in the desert. We had such a great time catching up, eating too much and watching Max figure out how he was going to get to Texas...cheaply. His original plan was to buy an inexpensive motorbike and ride across country, when that didn't work out he decided to look for a clunker of a car, last we heard he sent his parents a photo of himself in the back of a pickup headed east.

Monte, Wendy and Max ready to go!!!On the trail. We did take a group picture at the top of some hill but due to the ugly factor...me...that photo will never be seen. I have only drove a quad one other time for about 10 minutes, they guys were patient and did donuts while I tried to keep up. There were a couple times when I was sure I was going to die or maim myself. Monte did trade me quads, my feet were just not long enough to work the shift...and I really had no clue what I was doing, it was much better on the automatic. All in all it was a fun day seeing the desert first hand...thankfully no snakes. We were dusty and dirty by the time we headed back but we all had a great time. (some more then others)
