My birthday has come again. It fell on Sunday so the actual day itself was fairly uneventful but it was so nice to talk to each of my boys and my siblings and parents.
Saturday after working in the yard and laying around by the pool we decided to go mini golfing and to grab a bite to eat. The grab a bite to eat was decided while driving to Golfland when Kayden let us know he'd be ready for some food after our game and Costa Vida is on the way. Sounded like a great idea to the rest of us.
Golfland is a fun mini golf / arcade park with 3 separate 18 hole courses, we've now done two of the 3. We didn't realize there were 3 courses until we were done our game on Saturday.
Karson was the winner while I ended up in last place. That is okay I was trying to take pictures and keep the scores honest so I was a little preoccupied, I think there were a few underestimates anyway.

This doesn't look like it should be much of a challenge except your ball is bound to roll up and out of the donut and in some cases into the rough pretty easily.
There are no pictures of myself...since I was the one carrying the camera but my ball is the red one by Karsons foot.

I was trying to get the tops of the palm trees in this picture. I wanted to get the end of the golf club too but decided not to embarrass myself and boys by laying on the ground. I am still amazed that we live where palm trees grow.
My favorite birthday cake...strawberry trifle. It was yummy. This should serve 10 or so but the four of us came close to eating all of it.
My yummy birthday dinner made by...me...hawaiian chicken, orange glazed carrots, rice (thankyou Karson for the rice cooker you gave me for Christmas), orange lemon jello pudding (could easily be a dessert) and rice. Monte was at meetings all day and I've learned that it is easier to make what I want. I did excuse myself while the dishes were being done by the 3 men in the house. It was a great day...my visiting teachers stopped by with a candle, a friend brought me a really cute apron and I have a lunch date with another friend on Wednesday. Karson and Kayden gave me the nicest card with some really touching words added. I got a call from Brett and Malori plus a cute shirt in the mail today...Thanks Malori you keep me looking nice. I also got a call from Brad, my sister, parents and brother. Monte's gift to me was an open cheque book and instructions to get myself something. The only problem with that is trying to decide what to get. I am kind of wanting a sewing machine to maybe make some cute throw pillows and possibly curtains that I have been wanting for months / years. The only thing holding me back is remembering sewing machines haven't been very friendly to me in the past and maybe this items are harder to make then I think. When it comes to fabric I'm kind of clueless and my throw pillows and curtains may not turn out like I picture them in my head, one of those easier said then done things I think.
