Well this has been an interesting week gettin a new companion and all. My new companion elder Stewart is from Orem Utah or however ya spell it and he doesn't eat sugar or watch sports so its kinda hard to relate to him but he's not all that bad I guess.

But on Tuesday I experienced my first Earthquake wasn't really expecting to get one of them while I was on a mission but we did and it was pretty interesting it wasn't that strong but it shook me on the couch so it had a little strength to it ha.This week was kinda different because with Elder Stewart being here he wanted to re arrange and clean the living room so we did that Wednesday after District meeting. On Thursday we went over to the Reyes so that I could hang drywall and I'm thinkin this Thursday I'm goin to mud it or get at least one coat on. Also Thursday night I had a chicken fajita thing at the Reyes which I ate in a form of taking one bite from the fajita and then one from a jalapeno pepper that they more or less forced me to eat. I can already tell that I'm going to get an optimistic response so thinking ahead I made sure that we videoed it on my camera. Not to much else happened until the weekend I found out that Patrick works in West Virginia so he wouldn't be back till Monday so were goin to call him and set up a time to see him this week.

The really interesting thing that happened this week was on Sunday we were expecting to get hit by hurricane Irene which surprisingly didn't happen I was kinda hopeful I would have been able to say I went through a hurricane and a earthquake in a week while I was on my mission but I think that might have been a sign to leave if that would have happened. After church on Sunday Sis Reyes came over to me and said that Her niece Adreana who we were trying to teach had just over dosed on Heroin and some other stuff and she was on a ventilator at the hospital. So she wanted us to go with Bro Reyes to give her a blessing. So of course we said we would go and do what we could to help. When we got there we were told that she was brought in by 3 friends that didn't even know her name and when she got there she was grey because she hadn't breathed for so long. She was in critical condition. So me and bro Reyes made our way through the group of crying people and I anointed the blessing. Bro Reyes gave her the blessing in spanish so I don't really know what he said but after the blessing she started opening her eyes more and grabbing peoples hands more. A few hours latter we were told that they think shes going to be ok and that from the brain scans they took there is no significant damage and that she was going to be normal though it was going to take a long time to get out of the hospital and that she was going to be put into a addiction recovery class no matter what. It kinda retold me that no matter what the situation is there is always a way for the lord to fix it when its something that he desires.

That's really all that happened interesting this week and hopefully next week I'll have some good stories on finding people that want to talk to us but this week all I had was an earthquake and a missed hurricane with a miracle so I'll end this letter wishing everyone well and hopefully I'll continue to hear from you all.
Love
