Well it sounds like it was a pretty enjoyable week in Arizona I wasn’t even aware that Landon was home from his mission but I guess I've been out like 10 months now so I guess he should be. I'm glad that Kayden was able to get a pair of shoes that he liked I remember the last time we looked for dress shoes with him and it was like pullin hens teeth trying to get him to decide on something. I have a feeling that the shoes he did decide on aren't your usual just plain dress shoes. Elder Bednar did do a good job on his talk in the priesthood session I quite enjoyed it kinda a fun fact a girl in my last area was dating elder Bednars nephew and is now engaged so just for your info not that its really pertinent to anything but its kinda interesting. I think it also goes along with what you were talking about with you and dad raising us with the priesthood if I remember the talk his dad asked the question about the home teaching and why the men wern't doing it if they held the power of the priesthood. It makes me think back to my "childhood" years and remembering dad always doing his home teaching I dont really remember him missing a month and then I remember dad always being on the stand a councilor in the bishopric and then I think of all the priesthood blessings that I was given and that I witnessed being given and it makes me question why you and dad have been worried about if you taught us about it enough or not from what I remember about all the talks that I’ve listened to or that I’ve read it seems as though the best way to teach is by example I would reference the talk given this conference by President Monson about doing your duty and how you magnify your duty by doing exactly what applies to it you cant do more and you should never hope to do less. I think that even though it maybe wasn’t a hugely discussed topic in the house we witnessed it and understood that it was necessary and that it was something that we should be doing and how we should be acting. I think its more the responsibility of us children to pick up the ball I mean it’s in our court now it’s our time to figure out how we need to magnify our calling. I’m not really sure if anything I’ve said makes sense or not but its all I got so take it or leave it I guess. But I think everything worked out well.
But this week was a little stressful just with the ward and some other minor things that just cause you to wonder why people do things the way that they do. so that was a little bit of a damper on this week but we also had a fairly good experience. We had planed on possibly seeing this LA family that had come to church the last few Sundays on Thursday but we kinda had other plans that we figured would maybe work out better so we kinda put the LA family out of our minds but when the time came to go see the appointment that we had planed for some reason we decided to go visit the LA family. When we arrived they were kinda acting a little strange and the longer we stayed there and talked with them the more they opened up. It seemed as though they were having some trouble with their daughter she’s been having some anger issues and just some mental problems and the day before we got there they had put her in a rehab kinda hospital where she could get some help and it was turning out to kinda be a hard thing on the family and it was just a good thing that we were their and able to talk with them and give them some encouragement. But they came to church on Sunday and their still doing good so hopefully we can help them out a little bit in their time of need.
So that was a pretty cool experience.
But Heather came to church this week and is still doing well she does have a few concerns but we should be able to help her resolve them before the 28th. But life is good and I'm doing well and I hope that you are too.
Ps happy B day tomorrow I’m sending a package home today so it’ll probably show up a day late or so but it’ll have a card in it and it’ll have a cd with some pictures on it from Chambersburg and 2 sd cards of pictures so look for it. It also has a journal in it and some of my shirts and a knife just put that stuff in my closet or in my room somewhere. But I love you and hope you have a good birthday and I'll talk to you later.
