Camelback Mt.

New Years Eve day Monte and I decided to go on a quick hike.

We've heard a lot about Camelback...mostly good.  The hike is great the parking was pitiful.  

There are about 30 parking spaces with no street parking for miles.  After a half hour or so we looped around again and happened to luck out and catch a spot.

The beginning of the hike reminded me of bears hump.  Straight up with steps...the steps soon turned to boldering for 70% of the hike.  After a few days of no exercise and eating not like I should of been I was sucking wind big time.  

The view at the top was spectacular.  

We toyed with the idea of going down the other side and then back up...I chickened out because I was worried about my knees.  When we got down I wished we had because my knees were only a little sore.

Next time I guess.
