Well this week seems to have gone fairly well. We were able to see a few of our investigators and to make some good contacts and teach some good lessons. We Saw Tony a couple of times this week and things seem to be going well we shared some Mormon Messages with him one about flecks of gold and how they add up another about tuning into the spirit and tuning out of the worldly influences. The lesson seemed to go well and there seemed to be some growth he still has something that is bugging him that he hasn’t talked about, hopefully he brings it up before he lets it make his decision, before the spirit can teach him. But he is doing well and we will continue to work with him. We saw another investigator Jim Friend and shared basically the same lesson with him and showed him how to use mormon.org as a learning tool so that if his girlfriend has questions he will be able to answer them. So they were both fairly productive lessons.
We tried a lot of Less Actives this week we spent some time in the Ghetto areas that we cover because for some reason that is where the Less Actives tend to live. We spent a day or two trying people that we didn’t have any knowledge of who they were and it paid off, we met some good people and got some potential investigators from it. One lady we tried we drove up to the address and the windows were all covered the house had no trespassing signs all over the place no solicitors on the door. I was praying that the lady still lived there for fear that I might get shot if she wasn’t. Luckily she was and she turned out to be a rather nice lady with a grandson that she wanted to get taught so it was a good visit we even got pizza so I cant complain about that.
Probably the best thing that happened this week was that I found out that Jason Grimaldi was baptized by Elder Leavitt this Saturday. Elder Leavitt and I found Jason Elder Leavitts second day in the mission field and we worked with him the whole time I was there. He was progressing really well. It was great to hear that he had been able to make it to church felt the spirit and was baptized I really wish I could have been there but the lord has different plans I guess. It is great to know that I was able to help Jason get there. Elder Leavitt also found out that he was getting transferred that saturday and training so I'm glad he was able to baptize him.
So this has all in all been a good week and this week is looking up as well. Looks like I'm going to be in beaver valley for another 6 weeks so I guess I’ll keep on trucking. Hope everything is going well love yall and pray for you.
Love
Elder Kartchner
