Well the week has come and gone and with it went a few things. For starters I got my first official sun burn this week luckily its now gone so I don’t have to worry too much about it. I also found out that I was loosing Elder Greenwood as a Companion and getting a couple new companions. I’m getting one companion from this mission and then were getting a visa waiter. Basically some kid going to some country with no visa that they need out of the mtc until he gets a visa. I really think its just because Pres thinks its going to take two companions to keep me in line and who knows he may be right it'll take at least two to drag my xl butt out of bed ha.
We had a pretty good week with Tony we met with him a couple of times. He grew pretty close to Elder Greenwood so he was pretty sad to find out that he's leaving but like we told him theres someone out there waiting for elder Greenwood to teach them the gospel the way only elder Greenwood can do it. Tonys still reading he just hasn't made it out to church yet so thats a little frustrating but we wont give up on him yet we'll keep on bugging him and teaching him until he gets to it.
We were able to see some good LA people and talk a little with them as well as give some more service. We were able to help level out a patch of dirt where a pool will go for one lady and then help clean out another members garage of much clutter. Growing up with dad and his organization it always shocks me how dirty peoples garages are around here. Also it shocks me that people don’t use their garage for cars but for old stuff that really should have been thrown away but oh well. It was nice to be able to help out a little bit.
We had a eastern US stake conference this sunday that was pretty good Elder Uchtdorf presided over the meeting and spoke along with Elder Hales I believe and Elder Gay and someone from the woman's side of the organization so I have know idea who it was. But the meeting was good my favorite talk was by Elder Gay. He just talked about receiving answers and things like that it was a good talk.
I’m looking forward to calling home Sunday its crazy to think that its the last phone call that I’ll have before I go home seems like yesterday we were doing it for the first time but I guess time flies. And austin being 14 does make me feel old especially since I’ll be 21 on monday only 7 days who would have thunk it.
But the week was good and I look forward to my new companions and those that we will teach. I hope you have a great week and I’ll talk at y'all later.
Love
Elder Kartchner
