Skeet Shooting

We had Karson home for the 4th of July…yippee!!

We celebrated with a BBQ and swimming at the Winters home…celebrating Corals 2nd bday and snuggling with baby Stone.

We ate Mexican…did a little shopping…and went skeet shooting in the hot AZ sun.

We were only out for 30 - 45 minutes but within minutes the gun got so hot you couldn't touch the barrel…it was 10am but heating up fast.

It was my first time shooting with them in the desert and with Karson's gun.  They gave me a lesson on skeet throwing which I wasn't the best at.  It's not good when you somehow manage to release it behind you … luckily the guy with the gun was smart enough not to shoot.

They set up two targets for me…I didn't think I could hit a moving one.  First the gun was heavy…second it knocked me off my feet…and third I thought I was going to break my jaw because of the kick back.  I did hit both targets with the first shot…shocking both Monte and Karson.  I did't want to bruise my face for church the next day so I relinquished the gun back to the professionals.

The Kartchner Men skeet shooting contest is already in the works for the Christmas Holidays.
