I think we survived

I think we have made it through the worst of the winter here, we are back up in the high 70's during the day and mid 50's at night. I even put on capri's today for the first time in 6 weeks. Karson and Kayden have begun their ortho treatment, Kayden now has blue and white train tracks on his teeth and Karson can whistle through his front teeth thanks to his spacer. The noises he makes trying to extract/suck the food caught between the roof of his mouth and his spacer is something to be desired. Friday night Monte went out to long board with Kayden. Kayden was heading out when Monte was coming back in, he had just face planted on the cement. As Monte was pushing the board with his foot he hit the back wheel which stopped the board, but he kept going. In an attempt to catch himself he put his hand down, but it landed on the board which rolled away causing him to hit the cement with is face by his right eye. We thought he'd need stitches but it was just a little cut. It appeared he'd be okay, later that evening after watching a movie he went into the bathroom to blow his nose, this caused his eye instantly swelled shut. He is now looking better, the swelling has gone down and the bruising is moving to a nice yellow shade. Hopefully by Sunday he is back to normal because he flies to Chicago for his big Ashrae show that requires him to meet the people and be in a suit for three days. He is thinking he might of cracked his cheek bone so we should probably get that checked out. That means I'm going to have to bring out our insurance papers and see if I can understand what is and isn't covered. Today is a big day for Americans with the changing of presidents. Unfortunately people in AZ don't seem to be too impressed with Obama. It should be interesting to see what he can do with the financial mess this country is in.
