The holidays have come and gone. We had a great time as a family. Brad joined us for the holidays after graduating from the U of L with his Bachelors in Science. Well done and congratulations to him. Christmas Eve was spent with my "Winters cousins" their spouses and children. We had treats and a chocolate fondue. We watched a short Nativity movie, I think Karson and Kayden were excited to watch the nativity this year instead of act out the nativity. Carla and John's cute kids were the highlight of the night in their matching Christmas PJ's. I love it when a kid gets excited about pickles or olives. Christmas morning was great, like always. We are blessed, I think we enjoy seeing what others receive as much as receiving our own gifts. We had the usual breakfast caserol and monkey bread after the gift opening was done then played together while the turkey was roasting. Brad, Karson and Kayden flew back to Canada on the 28th, Brad to pack up and move to Provo and Karson and Kayden to enjoy a week visiting with family and friends. Monte and I stayed back in Mesa, Monte working and me getting a few projects accomplished. I now only have 2 rooms left to paint in the entire house and we are a few more boxes closer to being totally unpacked. Monte and I have decided to get storage cabinets built in the garage with our Christmas money, they should be in next week, when we get them filled hopefully every box is emptied and stuff put away. I function better when things are organized, it may not be the funnest way to spend our Christmas money but it will make me the most happy. Karson and Kayden had a great time in the snow and cold, they miss their friends in Cardston but hopefully soon they feel at home in two places. Hopefully everyone had a great New Years Eve and is ready to "enjoy the journey" of 2009. "Finding joy in the journey" is our family moto for this year. It begins for us by being greatful. We are greatful for the blessing we have and the oportunities that have come our way.
