The One Year Mark!!!

We have officially passed the one year mark since we loaded up and drove into the US to begin this new chapter of our lives. There were times I didn't think we'd make it but we have and we are excited for year 2 (as long as it isn't any worse then year 1). Karson has decided to stay and finish his senior year in Cardston. Something we totally understand but we really miss him. We'll just keep Allegiant Air in business this next year. I think we are also in denial about how old these "little guys" are getting. It seems like we just went to Brad and Brett's graduation, I guess that was 7 - 8 years ago. Kayden is still slightly miserable but appears to be having a better year. He is counting down to his senior year because he has the option to go back to Cardston if he'd like. At this point that is a no brainer but we'll have to see what happens over the next couple years. The big school has been a huge huge huge change, one I'm not sure that any of us will ever adjust to. We try to remember Pres. Monsons council to find "Joy in the Journey" and remember that what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. (I know there are lots of scriptures that say that more elequoently but I'm not sure what they are off the top of my head). We look forward to having family come to visit, our visits to Cardston and enjoying our growing experience here in Arizona.

Hypothetically, if our family came to visit, would the Feb. break or Easter break be better for you? I feel bad that possibly the only available times we have are the exact same times Karson would probably be wanting to visit...and granny...and everyone else.

IF the boys are looking for a SMALLER school to attend, I know one that haS ONLY 21 students in k-12. It is on a small island in AK. I know their aunt would love to have them live with her.LOL Congrats on surviving 1 year in the valley, you are stronger than I am. Good luck on year 2.
