Just our Luck

A week or two ago I spent an hour cleaning the driveway and gutter out front. It annoys me to have dirt and sand in our gutters, with the building east of us we usually get the muddy, dirty water coming our way and eventually it builds up and makes a dam. I figured the neighbor a few houses up was the culprit, they had been working on their front yard landscaping. It appeared they had everything finished so I assumed it would be perfect timing to clean the gutters, in hopes they'd stay clean for a few weeks. The next day someone upstream sent some dirty/muddy water down the gutter I have no clue who sent it our way or why, but THANKS.

This past week we had a lot of rain, a lot for living in a desert. We even noticed a rise in the pool water level. Growing up I remember thinking rain cleaned and freshened things up. Living here I've learned it makes things dirtier. Yesterday Monte and Kayden spent a couple hours washing all 3 vehicles. They looked a sight after last weeks rain and dust that had settled all over them. Monte had a meeting just before church so we ended up taking 2 vehicles, something that doesn't happen often. As luck would have it, it rained while we were in church. I had asked Kayden to drive me to church but he was too lazy to go get his keys so I drove the Tahoe. Since the Tahoe is always parked outside it would of got rained on whether at the church or at home. The black Nissan that Kayden drives is the only clean vehicle we have at the moment, some guys have all the luck. We really need to keep up on the weather, we've kind of got used to everyday being a beautiful day.

Have a great week, getting ready for the Christmas season.
Love to All
