Monte and I decided to go for a quick hike on Saturday. We hiked to Wind Cave in Usery Park just north of our house. It was 1.6 miles up, which was perfect because we didn't have a lot of time. It was nice to get out and get some exercise but totally different from the hiking we are used to. After our hike we stopped at the Nature Center to have a quick look around. They had a few aquarium type things housing some of the deserts finest creatures. On the way up I was wondering when the snakes come out... didn't ask because I wasn't sure I wanted to know. They did have a "lovely" tarantula on display, the sign on it said they live in the rocks around the saguaro. That would of been nice to know before Monte and I went rock climbing trying to get to the top.

Monte at the top, our house is behind him

Going up, for some reason I didn't wear my hiking boots, big mistake.
