A Little Austin & Preston humor

Monday I got a call from Becky, she was coming to town to meet Rob at a Principal's meeting supper thing. Alyssa had volleyball I believe so she was wondering about bringing Austin and Preston over for a bit. It was Granny's actual birthday (we'd celebrated the day before) I was making one of her favorite meals meatloaf and scallop potatoes and since Kayden was working and dad was farming I thought granny and I would love a little company.

Austin called on the cell to let me know they were for sure coming he also let me know he sacrificed chicken nuggets and tots to come see us. (He let me know several times...it must of been a real sacrifice) Personally I don't count chicken nuggets and tots as food but I don't think he agrees with me. Austin thought the meatloaf was not bad and the scallop potatoes we actually pretty good. Of course Preston looked at the meal and asked about Sunday dinner leftovers... at least everyone was happy.

After eating I had Austin grab the letter Karson sent that day. I told him there were a few funny parts...after reading a minute he asked me to point out which parts were funny. I showed him where Elder Kartchner described his investigator Leon as a "skinny black Monte." Mom asked Preston what he thought Uncle Monte would look like if he was a skinny black guy. After thinking for just a second he said, "a skunk."

I love kids....they can really make us laugh. The visual on Monte is priceless.
