Letter from the Elder

December 12, 2011

Well this was a pretty good week no sickness and we were able to see pretty much everyone we wanted to. The weather did change on us though on Wednesday we got about 6 to 7 inches worth of snow so that was kinda disheartening I guess and of course Wednesday is the day that I decide to go the shortest distance on the Gps and it decided to lead us down the backest of backroads possible luckily I’m a well trained driver and I was able to get the ol toyota corolla to where we were trying to go. Took a little tryin and a little bit of ridin er but I got er to work out in the end. Well this week we were able to finish our little roofing project that we started a while ago. I was able to finish putting all the brace boards up and I was able to finish putting all the tin up I think I figured why it took so long though I had to decide to wait for the snow to fly before I would be able to work in the elements that I was used to so I froze my but off on a roof for 5 hours on Saturday but it was fun and worth it so I cant really complain.

Well Lynn wasn’t baptized this week he’s still smoking but we started him on the stop smoking program and he’s being pretty determined so hopefully his baptism will be sooner then later. We were able to teach the girls again and it was good to change up our plans a little and be able to reach them hopefully a little better than usual. We had the opportunity to have our zone conference this week it was pretty good the only problem was I had to get up at 5 to drive 2.5 hours to where it was but whatever I don’t mind. Kinda a funny thing happened on the way to the conference thought I needed to use the bathroom so I pulled over to the side of the road like any guy would and walked in a little ways to the woods to take a leek and who would drive by but the Assistants to the President it was kinda funny they drove by slowly and pointed at me I was like of course that would happen to me of all people but whatever I guess no big deal just kinda funny.

It was pretty cool seeing the patriot chopper it was an extremely nice bike and we got some good pictures of it after lookin at the bike Bro Farris took us for a ride in a hummve so that was pretty cool I always thought the army hummers were fast but I guess it makes sense that they would be slow when they have 7000 pounds of armor on them they ride really smoothly though that’s for sure. Other then what’s been said not too much has happened we just had kinda another average week I guess teaching people and riding in hummvees but I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to hear from you soon.
