Luck or Lack of It

Do you ever think you have no luck or the only luck you have is bad luck. I'm not talking about blessing, because as a family we are so blessed.

A few months ago we took down our vertical blinds on the patio door and got some curtains. I listed the blinds on craigslist and got a call on them a few days later. After 3 or 4 calls they decided they wanted them and were going to come pick them up. We never heard from them again which is fine...people can change their mind. I kept updating the post but for over a month didn't get a single call. We had some things to take to goodwill and since the blinds laying in the spare bedroom was starting to get on my nerves and we'd received no calls for weeks we decided to take them to goodwill. (I'd even lowered the price)
We get back from goodwill to a message on the phone about the blinds. Nice!!!!

Second...we like our yard and house to look nice, including the gutters infront of our house. Unfortunately whatever the people east of us wash stuff down the flow stops infront of our house instead of going one house down and around the corner. It is a pet peeve of mine (a shallow one) but one non the less. I am outside sweeping and washing the gutters often (which I feel stupid about...who has time to clean their gutters). Tuesday morning I hear the street sweeper come by which is great except we were having rock delivered Tuesday afternoon. We are always a day late.

Finally...I needed to go to costco for a couple things, I don't go there often but I've learned to stay away during lunch time especially this time of year. I plan my trip to get in an out before the lunch rush. When I pull in there isn't a parking space for miles, since I made the trip over I wasn't going to go back home but I was confussed by the excessive bussiness. When I got inside every short with socks and sandles shopper was carrying the costco coupon book. Now I got one of these books took out the one coupon I thought I could use but didn't realize that day was the first day for the coupons. Unfortunately every senior within 20 miles did and had been planning their trip for days.

I learned that one the hard way as well....you never go to Costco on the first day of new coupons! It's crazier than a holiday weekend! Hope the luck turns around :)
