Downtown Salt Lake has been under renovations for years. From what I understand the church bought the malls just south of temple square and has been creating a new mall / plaza for quite some time. City Creek opened its doors the week before conference which was perfect for all the hungry "mormons". The food court was crazy, we decided on a sandwich place that had a really short line, as luck would have it the food was delicious. We got it to go and ate outside in the Salt Lake sunshine.
The mall covers a couple city blocks with a couple plaza's / court yards. While Monte and Brad were at the priesthood session I wandered the street a bit.
I walked around Desert Book for awhile and saw Sis. Kapp (it was such a blessing seeing her at the Cardston temple while she served as matron a few years ago) and Stephanie Nielson from the nienie blog. A music group was going to perform...for the life of me I can't remember their names but the store was super crowded and I decided to head out when they were letting the 100+ additional women in that were waiting in line outside for their free gift.
