The Nutcracker

Monte & I attended Arizona Ballets Nutcracker
Directed by IB Andersen...a world accomplished dancer.

It was Magical.

A couple pics of the show

These Angels look amazing...they appear to be floating around the stage

These are my favorite to watch...They are titled "Marzipan".
Their costumes have an amazing effect as they dance around the stage

I was trying to find pics of the Nutcracker and Mice that I could add but to no avail.

The Harlequin, Columbine and Soldier Dolls are great fun to watch.

The Mice and Mouse King are beyond fun.

Mother Ginger...reminds me of a Giant Queen of Hearts...and children are truly enjoyable.  As a side note Mother Ginger in played by a HE not a SHE.

A couple fun facts.
When the Snowflakes are dancing and sparkling snow is falling there are more then 100 000 Austrian Swarowski crystals used to create the sparkle.

The Ballet Dancers will use 300 pair of pointe shoes.
The December budget for pointe shoes in $45000

An amazing show... Truly Magical!

I look forward to going again.
