January 21, 2013

Oh life in Bridgewater is pretty good I guess it was a pretty nice week unusually warm with the fact that it was like 60 on saturday and as luck would have it I was doing service most of the day saturday so I was in a short sleeve shirt and a pair of dickies hauling wood and just loving life so I cant really complain about that. The ward that I'm in is pretty nice its not as big as waynesboro but its pretty close to the same size and as usual with the world of wards in PA most everyone is related some how or another. So there can be a lot of Drama at times which could get annoying but I guess I’ll just stay out of it and everything will be ok.

The week itself went pretty good I was finally able to get unpacked and get everything put away which was nice makes you feel a lot more at home. I still have to put my desk and everything together the way I want it but other then that I'm pretty much just squared away. We were able to teach a few people in the area which was nice the people out here are defiantly a little different then they are in eastern PA so it could take some time to get used to the people but it shouldn't be that hard really. One cool thing is that we have a member in the ward that served his mission in the harrisburgh mission and he actually served in waynesboro so we were able to talk about the people of course he was there like 30 years before me but it was cool to be able to talk about everything.

We taught one guy during lunch because he bought it for us which was nice only problem was that he was one of those people that likes the Facts and wants to know everything rather then rely on faith. I basically just told him that its good to know the truth and everything but you can only find the truth of spiritual things is through prayer so hopefully he decides to take action and pray about the message rather then try to use some kind of a ipad app to seek answers.

However one of the coolest things that I got this week was a book from the ward library apparently they had to get rid of some things so I was able to snag a copy of a book about J Golden Kimball that has all his talks that are recorded in it and all this fun stuff so I look forward to looking through it and I’m almost through the book I got for christmas by Henry B Eyering, its pretty good.

But I'm doing good living the dream I hit my 19 month mark tomorrow so thats pretty cool but I just look forward to the road thats ahead. love yall and talk to you later and good luck with the missionary work at the home front.
