Hello from the field. Well my first week in Pennsylvania has been pretty good I got a good companion Elder Gowdy he has been teaching me a lot as we have gone out tracting were both pretty new to the area so we don't really have any idea who's there and whats going on. I'm in the Chambersburg area so I'm almost as far east as I could go. Its really green here not many open spaces, there are tones of trees.
I have an ok apartment the guys that were there were not very clean so I had to use some comet to get the black off the bottom of the tub as well as a good scrub brush.
Like I said I've been doing a lot of tracting and its kinda funny some people are so ignorant. I talked to this one Methodist preacher who thought I was going to curse him or something. He was standing back ducking his head and waiving his hand at me telling me to go away I walked away laughing at him, it was quite humorous.Then a few days latter me and my companion were walking to a members house when some hick guy started yelling hey boy and some other things that i couldn't understand. As he drove by he flipped us off and it was all we could do not to bust up laughing at the guy I mean he was being utterly retarded. We have a small ward base here only about 130 active members and its a place much bigger then Cardston almost Lethbridge size maybe just a little smaller. But we have a great family in our ward the Reyes family, they are half Mexican so they feed us Mexican food a lot but they always have the door open for us. Its a little sad they are extremely poor and they have a son going out on a mission and I don't really know how their going to pay for it. They're struggling to pay their 400 dollar mortgage but i know with their faith they can be blessed. We don't really have any solid investigators at the moment except one 14 year old kid who is ready to be baptized but his parents are against it but as a trial of faith we set a date for the 20 of Aug hoping that they will see that he really wants to do this.
I've been sending out this one scripture in all the letters I write and I think it would be good for all to read it, its Mark 4:40, I find it applies to everything in life that I've ever had to deal with. That's really all that has been going on here. I love you all and I hope to hear from you soon I sent dad a letter in the mail since I didn't get a chance to call, 2 missionaries almost missed the flight as it was so I didn't really have time but I love you all and hope you all have a good time.
